Position Summary
The Manager of Ancillary Services is an operational leader responsible for driving the day-to-day execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of ancillary service lines that support patient care delivery. This role translates enterprise strategy into operational action, ensuring ancillary services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with organizational performance, quality, and growth priorities.
Reporting to the Director of Operational Enablement & Ancillary Services, the Manager of Ancillary Services provides hands-on oversight of ancillary service operations, vendor and partner performance, and cross-functional coordination between clinical teams, care coordination staff, and ancillary providers. The position is accountable for executing initiatives with rigor, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, operational targets, and quality outcomes, and surfacing insights that inform the Director's broader enterprise strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution and Performance Monitoring
• Lead day-to-day operational management of assigned ancillary service lines, driving process efficiency, timeliness, and consistency in service delivery.
• Monitor operational performance and service utilization trends to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and performance tracking that provide visibility into turnaround times, cost, utilization, and quality outcomes.
• Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for the Director to inform initiative prioritization and continuous improvement efforts.
Ancillary Partnership and Vendor Management
• Manage day-to-day relationships with ancillary service vendors and partners (e.g., labs, imaging centers, DME suppliers, hospice, home health agencies), ensuring service delivery meets expectations.
• Monitor vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations, resolving performance issues and escalating as needed.
• Support the Director in identifying and evaluating new ancillary partnership opportunities to strengthen access, capability, and enterprise integration.
• Coordinate national and local joint operating committee meetings with ancillary partners sharing operational reports and areas of improvement
• Partner with clinical and operational teams to ensure smooth coordination and handoffs between ancillary providers and patient care teams.
Reporting, Analysis, and Team Leadership
• Prepare operational reports, summaries, and updates for the Director of Operational Enablement & Ancillary Services to support governance discussions and strategic planning.
• Provide analysis and operational insight related to service performance, vendor outcomes, and compliance status to support decision-making.
• Function as a reliable operational partner to the Director, translating strategic priorities into clear, executable actions for the team.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
Experience
• Three to five-plus years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, ancillary services, care coordination, or related operational roles.
• Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, cross-functional teams, or multi-site service coordination.
• Demonstrated record of driving operational performance and service delivery improvement through data-informed decision-making.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position will have direct management authority.
Work Conditions:
Ability to lift up to 20lbs. Moving lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 50lbs as well as assist with weights of more than 100lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to drive to patient locations (ie. home, hospital, SNF, etc). Fine motor skills/visual acuity
