Job Description

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Lead social media output
  • Manage and review all internal communications
  • Prepare and refine strategic communication plans for the organization.
  • Support the roll-out of new strategic initiatives throughout the company with succinct communication, annual communications plan, and work in accordance
  • Develop communication that reinforces change management throughout the organization
  • Deadlines matter – develop and deliver announcements, memos, and company directives
  • Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision
  • Measure and present results of communication efforts
  • Suggest what information should be presented to employees
  • Support ideas with research and experience
  • Develop and Publish videos and photography on company website and blogs
  • Edit and revise content and copywriting as necessary
  • Ensure employees are engaged in company initiatives
  • Edit, design, and distribute company newsletter
  • Lead development of companywide meeting presentation materials, collaborating with CEO.


The Communications Specialist will be focused on:

  • Improving frequency of communication
  • Increasing quality of communication
  • Optimizing ‘control’ of communication flow
  • Strengthening culture and improve morale
  • Supporting market level team communication needs

Role and Responsibilities

  • Monthly newsletter
  • Moderate and develop materials for All-Hands meetings, including presentations.
  • Frequent communication from leaders throughout the organization
  • Maintain the employee intranet page
  • Manage organizational internal comms calendar
    • Reviewing and controlling all internal communication
    • Adhere to pushing communication out to all the right channels
  • Support special initiatives and internal events and celebration committee actions – build excitement!
  • Improve change management
  • Help shape and improve culture
  • Presentation development and review
  • Other tasks needed to accomplish team’s objectives/goals

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Educational/ Experience Requirements:

  • Marketing or communications degree required. (BA or BS required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer or healthcare marketing.

 

 Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Writing and editing is what you enjoy, and you should be open to present to colleagues.
  • Proficiency in content production especially for digital and direct mail channels
  • Organized and comfortable managing projects from creative inception through execution and into analysis.

  • Track performance and report insights.
  • Takes feedback on the chin and knows it makes the end-product stronger.
  • Experience developing RFPs and evaluating and selecting new vendors.
  • Develop hypotheses and methods for testing new ideas and tactics.
  • Ability to work cross-departmentally and support the needs of all areas of the business.
  • Collaborate with branding, design, and strategic team to ensure consistent and effective messaging and campaigns.
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using WordPress or similar CMS.
  • Knowledgeable on CAN-SPAM compliance laws and any other regulations.
  • Experience in helping to develop culture is a plus.
  • Familiarity using a marketing automation platform is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility.

 

Travel requirements: Travel may be required up to 10% as required

 

Work Conditions: Ability to lift up to 20lbs.  Moving lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 50lbs as well as assist with weights of more than 100lbs.  Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to drive to patient locations (ie. home, hospital, SNF, etc).  Fine motor skills/Visual acuity

We are a Physician led; Clinician driven care team focused on helping Medicare Advantage patients.  This population is typically underserved and very challenged with access to care. Our services are provided throughout the entire continuum of care – from chronic care and urgent care in the home, hospital, skilled nursing, assisted living, palliative, to end of life.

The Communications Specialist is vital here at WellBe Senior Medical. Having employees spread over multiple states means you would help connect all the dots and keep everyone informed with news and updates from both the corporate office and the field. In this role, you’ll help shape WellBe’s internal communications strategy, forming our messaging, along with supporting external communication needs. There will also be opportunities to create communication for leaders throughout the organization, exterior media, and for business development concerns.
