Job Description

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Fosters a culture of best demonstrated practices, customer and peer service-orientation, measurement, performance, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Market Medical Director and GMs to ensure markets set and meet utilization goals, operational and quality metrics 
  • Oversight and accountability for all Market P&Ls
  • Responsible for new market integration—setting up new market operational and staffing infrastructure
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and revenue growth
  • Participate with senior management and market GMs to plan and execute initiatives to continuously improve the clinical delivery model
  • Schedule and facilitate operational leadership meetings
  • Recruit, hire, manage and retain high performing team members
  • Coach, mentor and counsel team members to meet performance levels, and foster growth
  • Ensure all needed managerial workforce (clinical and administrative) is accounted for at the start of each day. Assign resources to meet operational needs (backfill as necessary).
  • Check-in and coordinate with Market MDs and Community MDs
  • Review all open charts for APC’s – communicate issues to MD 
  • Oversight of coding department—ensure queues are being reviewed for backlogs and staffing is being adjusted as needed
  • Be available for all in-field situations or emergency(ies)
  • Monitor and measure patient engagement rate
  • Strategize with Clinical Leaders on best practices across markets (learn from other markets, and share own best practices with others)
  • Work closely with Business Development to promote the WellBe program in the local provider and health plan community, to foster growth of existing programs and develop new health plan relationships
  • Establish strong community relations with community PCPs, specialists, vendors and community resources. Work with all parties to resolve issues and improve clinical programs.
  • Oversee Remote Workers
  • Address compliance/safety issues (Accident reports, injury reports, etc.)
  • Ensure WellBe’s mission, vision, and values is embedded within market culture
  • Other tasks needed to accomplish team’s objectives/goals

Job Requirements

Educational/ Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years P&L ownership
  • 5+ years leading operations
  • Experience with Health Plan Medicare/Medicaid programs
  • 5+Master’s degree with emphasis in Health Administration or Business Administration highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position will have supervisory responsibility.

 

Travel requirements: Travel may be required up to 100% locally.

 

Work Conditions: Ability to lift up to 20lbs.  Moving lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 50lbs as well as assist with weights of more than 100lbs.  Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to drive to patient locations (ie. home, hospital, SNF, etc).  Fine motor skills/Visual acuity

Job Summary

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for ensuring that all clinical, operational, and financial goals are met across WellBe Senior Medical markets. The VP, GM will have full accountability for the overarching market P&Ls. In partnership with the Market Medical Director, this candidate will also lead efforts in new market entry and integration. All market GMs will report to the VP, GM.
